The Parliament recently passed the Prohibited Items Act, which saw the prohibition of Magic Sugar, Automatic Weapons, 'Weapons of Explosive Nature' and brought restrictions to Radioactive Elements.
The fact that certain bans on certain items such as rockets and explosives was a long time coming, however, the Prohibited Items Act passed by the Parliament today has included many more items in its list.
Magic Sugar, a mix of sugar, redstone and glowstone was described as a common material for criminal activity and was banned, with the punishment ranging from up to 1 week of jail and 100 quids to 2 weeks in jail and 1000 quids depending on the quantity that a person is in possession of as well as whether they have produced the material or not.
The act allows for potentially heavy restrictions on the production and storage of Radioactive Elements, as the guidelines for the production and storage has been delegated to the Rosavian Nuclear Power Commission (RNPC) which was formed during the term of Prime Minister Cubs via a Prime Ministerial Decree.
Automatic weapons, which was described as 'a weapon that fires more than one shot in a single action.' has been banned from public usage. While they were allowed to be used by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as well as the Ministry of National Security & Defense. The breach of this law, according to the act, will result in a punishment up to 2 weeks in jail or 2000 quids in fees, 'unless the situation has threatened the national integrity of the republic or endangered the people of Rosava'
The act also prohibits 'Weapons of Explosive Nature' which is an umbrella term including all explosive weapons of war, which was widely expected. Again, these weapons are restricted in their usage to the MoIA and MNSD. The punishment for breaching this law is up to 4 weeks of jailtime or 4000 quids in fines, with the same exception applying as the Automatic Weapons ban.
The act also details the allowance of the Ministery of Internal Affairs-issued permits allowing for the production of Automatic Weapons and Weapons of Explosive Nature by private companies, named Permit-SAW (PSAW) and Permit-WEN (PWEN) respectively, however, the sale is limited to the ministries.
